Music video[]
The song's music video was recorded on August 3, 2022, and came out on October 25, 2022.[3] The video included of a couple of easter eggs, featuring an orchestral string themed instrumental of "Enchanted" and a trumpet themed instrumental of "Long Live", from Swift's third studio album, Speak Now.
Summary[]
As Swift and her fictional stepsisters (portrayed by HAIM) discussed an upcoming royal ball, Swift cleaned up a pile of vomit that one of them left behind. One of the stepsisters explained that there would be a contest at the ball and that the winner of the contest would be able to marry the prince (Jack Antonoff). The winner would also receive a castle. As the rest of Swift's family left for the ball, Swift opened a fob watch and entered an elevator that would eventually take her to the third floor of the building. There, Swift met her fairy godmother, who would dance with Swift. After reaching the thirteenth floor of the building, Swift performed a dance at the ball that left her stepmother (Laura Dern) and her stepsisters surprised. The dance that Swift performed left Queen Pat in shock, which caused the Queen to entertain the prince. The prince then proposed to Swift, who denied the proposal by vanishing. The prince shrugged, though accepted being denied in the end. At the end of the video, Swift received the castle.

Lyrics[]
[Verse 1]
Baby love, I think I've been a little too kind
Didn't notice you walking all over my peace of mind
In the shoes I gave you as a present
Putting someone first only works when you're in their top five
And, by the way, I'm goin' out tonight
[Chorus]
Best believe, I'm still bejeweled
When I walk in the room
I can still make the whole place shimmer
And when I meet the band
They ask, "Do you have a man?"
I can still say, "I don't remember"
Familiarity breeds contempt
Don't put mе in the basement
Whеn I want the penthouse of your heart
Diamonds in my eyes
I polish up real, I polish up real nice
Nice
[Verse 2]
Baby boy, I think I've been too good of a girl (Too good of a girl)
Did all the extra credit, then got graded on curve
I think it's time to teach some lessons
I made you my world (Huh?) have you heard (Huh?)
I can reclaim the land
And I miss you (Miss you), but I miss sparkling (Nice)
[Chorus]
Best believe, I'm still bejeweled
When I walk in the room
I can still make the whole place shimmer
And when I meet the band
They ask, "Do you have a man?"
I can still say, "I don't remember"
Familiarity breeds contempt
Don't put me in the basement
When I want the penthouse of your heart
Diamonds in my eyes
I polish up real, I polish up real nice
Nice
[Bridge]
Sapphire tears on my face
Sadness became my whole sky
But some guy said my aura's moonstone
Just 'cause he was high
And we danced all night
And you can try to change my mind
But you might have to wait in line
What's a girl gonna do? A diamond's gotta shine
[Chorus]
Best believe, I'm still bejeweled
When I walk in the room
I can still make the whole place shimmer (Shimmer)
And when I meet the band
They ask, "Do you have a man?"
I can still say, "I don't remember"
Familiarity breeds contempt
Don't put me in the basement
When I want the penthouse of your heart
Diamonds in my eyes
I polish up real (Nice), I polish up real nice
[Outro]
And we're dancing all night
And you can try to change my mind
But you might have to wait in line
What's a girl gonna do? What's a girl gonna do?
I polish up nice
Best believe, I'm still bejeweled
When I walk in the room
I can still make the whole place shimmer
