The Billboard Music Awards are a music award show which awards based off of Billboard charts. Taylor Swift has been nominated and won numerous awards at the Billboard awards. Due to the amount of wins she had, she had the most wins of any gender until May 2, 2019, when Drake surpassed her,[2] but the two are now tied for most wins, with both having 39 awards. She is the female artist with the most Billboard wins.[3]

Unique to the award show itself, it is based off merit from their charts in comparison awards like the Grammy Awards, where a panel of secretive music members vote. [5] It is not focused on charts outside of the organization itself. Some awards are based off a single chart, as in the case of the Top Hot 100 Artist,[6] while others are a culmination of their performances across multiple charts, as in Top Artist and the exclusive Artist of the Decade.[7]
