Edward Christopher "Ed" Sheeran (born February 17, 1991) is a Grammy Award-winning English singer-songwriter who is a friend of Taylor Swift. The two collaborated on the song Everything Has Changed, writing and singing it together. Ed later featured on Taylor's Reputation track, "End Game" along with American rapper Future.


In addition to being Taylor's friend, Ed, who is from the town of Framlingham in Suffolk, England, has achieved success in his own career. He released his debut album Plus (+) in 2011, and it became a hit. The album features the hit singles, "Lego House" and "The A Team". His second album, x, was released on June 23, 2014. It features the hit singles "Sing", "Don't" and "Thinking Out Loud". "Thinking Out Loud" earned Ed a Grammy for Song of the Year at the 58th Grammy Awards on February 15, 2016

Ed got to tour with Taylor as part of the Red Tour and even co-hosted an afterparty with her after the 2015 Billboard Music Awards. He was even seen with Taylor and her then boyfriend Calvin Harris in New York. He also spent the 4th of July at her home in Rhode Island. She was very happy for him and gave him a hug before he accepted his Grammy award for Song of the Year for his hit "Thinking Out Loud".

Personal life

On January 20, 2018, Ed announced that he is engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Cherry Seaborn, whom he has been dating since 2015. She was the inspiration for his hit single, "Perfect".
