In September 2011 Swift brought Williams on stage with her at Nashville to sing a duet. She even appears as The Crimson Curse in the "Bad Blood" music video.

On December 11, 2020, Swift thanked Williams for praising evermore while referencing Hayley's debut studio album released the same year, Petals for Armor.[1] Taylor did not interact with anybody else's commentary on the album.

On November 1, 2022, Taylor announced The Eras Tour in which Hayley, alongside her band Paramore, would be preforming as an opening act. Paramore opened alongside GAYLE at the tour's first two shows and was the sole opener for all UK/Europe dates in 2024.

Williams is featured on Swift's track "Castles Crumbling", a "From The Vault" track on Speak Now (Taylor's Version).

Williams was married to New Found Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert from 2016-2017, citing infidelity on his part as a reason for their divorce. In September 2022, she confirmed that she and her Paramore bandmate, guitarist Taylor York, are dating.
