Marjorie Moehlenkamp Finlay was the grandmother of Taylor Swift, the wife of Robert Finlay and the mother of Taylor's mom, Andrea Swift. She was born on October 5, 1928 in Memphis, Tennessee. Her occupation as an opera singer gave Taylor inspiration to pursue music as her passion, and to make it into a career, following in the footsteps of her grandmother. She later died on June 1, 2003, in Taylor's hometown, Reading, Pennsylvania.
She was featured as Swift's first Instagram post, on October 26, 2011, with the following caption, "Found this picture of my grandmother. So lovely."
Taylor released the songs "marjorie" and "Timeless" on her ninth studio album, evermore and third re-recorded album, Speak Now (Taylor's Version) about her grandmother. The lyric videos of the two tracks features footage of Finlay in home movies and pictures.
