The Met Gala is an annual fundraising gala for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute. Many celebrities are invited to walk up the famous stairs, such as celebrities in fashion, music and acting. Taylor Swift has attended the Gala 8 times.
2008[]
Taylor first attended the Met gala in 2008. The theme that year was Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy and it was sponsored by George Armani. Taylor wore a gold dress designed by Badgley Mushika and a gold clutch bag.
2010[]
Taylor next attended the Gala in 2010. The theme that year was the American Woman and it was sponsored by GAP. That year she wore a ivory gown designed by Ralph Lauren. She had her hair tied back and wore red lipstick, one of her future fashion staples
2011[]
Taylor attened the Met the following year, when the theam was Alexander McQueen- Savage Beauty and it was sponsored by Alexander McQueen himself. That year, she wore a gold J Mendel petal dress and Louis Vuitton heels. She also wore her hair in a bun, like last year, however her hair had been straightened.
2013[]
Taylor next attended in 2013, in which the theme was Punk- chaos to Courtur. Fittingly, Taylor wore a more edgier look, with black mascara, straight down hair and a black dress designed by J Mendel.
2014[]
Taylor next attended the following year, in which the theme was Charles James- beyond Fashion. Charles James was a fashion designer who made ball gowns, so fittingly Taylor wore a pink satin Oscar De La Renta, with Schwartz jewels and Christian Louboutin heels. She also wore her iconic red lips.
2016[]
Taylor next attended the MET Gala with a more fighting edgy look, as the theme that year was fashion in the age of science. She wore a cut-out Silver Louie Vitonn dress and lace up heels, black lipstick and Eva Fergern rings. She was also the co-chair that year and also showed off her bleached short hair to begin the era of the original TS7, know by fans as Bleachella era. That year, she met her former partners Tom Hiddleston and Joe Alwyn. This was the last year Swift attended the Met Gala, and she has not attended the event since.
