The Civil Wars are an American country/Americana duo, founded in 2009 and disbanded in 2014. Their debut album Barton Hollow was released on February 1, 2011.[1][2][3] They collaborated with American songwriter and singer Taylor Swift on the promotional single "Safe & Sound" for the 2012 film The Hunger Games, and the re-recording of the song, released in 2023.
