Samual Timothy "Tim" McGraw (born May 1, 1967) is an American country singer-songwriter and actor who was the inspiration for Taylor Swift's debut hit single that was released in 2006 and bears his name.

Relation to Taylor Swift[]

Taylor has stated herself that McGraw is one of her influences.

In 2007, Swift performed "Tim McGraw" to him at the Academy of Country Music Awards. Later that year, she served as the opening act at several dates for Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's joint Soul2Soul II Tour. In 2011 and early 2012 Taylor held her Speak Now World Tour, which she had McGraw, among others, join her at various times. She provided guest vocals and a small melody for McGraw's song "Highway Don't Care". McGraw came to perform "Tim McGraw" on the Nashville show on August 25th, 2018 with Faith Hill on the Reputation Stadium Tour.

Personal life[]

McGraw has been married to fellow country singer Faith Hill since 1996. The couple have three daughters.
